Endangered Scholar: Jason Rezaian
An urgent update
Washington Post journalist Jason Rezaian, who received his BA at The New School’s Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts, was unjustly convicted this month by the Iranian Revolutionary Court and sentenced to 15 to 20 years after already having been held in Evin Prison in Tehran for more than 15 months. Much of the time he has served has been in solitary confinement. He has until the end of October to appeal the verdict, and we are trying to exert as much pressure as possible in this time.
Please visit Mr. Rezaian’s page at The New School’s Endangered Scholars Worldwide site for more information, and help us spread awareness about his very urgent situation.
