Stand with Standing Rock Rally
Washington D.C.
Opponents of the Dakota Access Pipeline protested at several dozen locations throughout the country as the Army Corps of Engineers granted the developer permission to lay the pipe under a reservoir in North Dakota. The Standing Rock tribe of Sioux have been the primary opponents out of fear that leaks will contaminate their water supply and do other harm to the environment.
This protest took place on February 8 at a corner of the park near the White House.
