Protest at International Monetary Fund Annual Meeting
Washington, D.C. October 12th
Two dozen people gathered outside the annual meetings of the IMF (International Monetary Fund) to protest policies which they said created too much inequality. Ten years ago, the number of protestors was closer to two thousand. A new group calling itself the Fight Inequality Alliance gathered in a small park near the IMF and World Bank buildings in Washington, D.C. on October 12. A statement signed by 130 organizations said those entities bore major responsibility for creating and maintaining inequality throughout the world.
